GAINSCO is seeking a Document Operations Representative I to support the efficient processing of incoming mail and business documents. This role is responsible for sorting, preparing, scanning, indexing, and routing documents accurately and on time while ensuring high-quality digital imaging and compliance with company procedures. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment.
What does a Document Operations Representative do at GAINSCO?
- Sort, organize, prepare, and scan incoming mail and documents for multiple departments.
- Index and route digital documents accurately to the appropriate teams using company systems.
- Maintain quality and turnaround standards to ensure documents are processed within required timelines.
- Organize and maintain both digital and physical filing systems in accordance with company requirements.
- Monitor scanning quality, adjust equipment settings as needed, and ensure accurate image capture.
- Meet individual and team production goals in a high-volume environment.
What is required?
Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of general office experience required.
- Experience using document management and policy/claims systems such as ImageRight, AS400, and Claims Manager is preferred.
- Experience scanning, indexing, and routing documents using high-volume scanning equipment, including Kodak Scanner i620 and 3590c, is preferred.
- Prior experience in a claims and/or customer service role within the auto insurance industry is preferred.

- Strong organization and time-management skills.
- Ability to follow established procedures and make effective decisions within defined guidelines.
- Strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Reliable attendance and strong attention to detail.
Schedule and Other Requirements:
- This is an in-office role, Monday through Friday.
- Scheduled work hours will fall between 7-4pm or 8-5 pm.
- Must be able to assist with driving to the Plano post office and the Dallas post office approximately 2–3 times per week using a company vehicle.
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
