Full job description

Information & Communications Technologies (ICT)

To succeed in a digital world, businesses require adaptable, intelligent products, platforms, and services. The Frost & Sullivan ICT Growth Opportunity Analytics Practice leverages end-user customer research and deep vendor relationships to offer unique and valuable growth insights across technologies, geographies, and industries.

The Industry Principal (IP) holds ‘expert’ status within a market sector and region and works as a Growth Coach to our clients. The IP works independently or could manage a small analyst team to drive Frost & Sullivan’s presence in the sector and build a unit of industry expertise to drive growth opportunities. The IP is likely to lead several projects at a time (across GOA & Advisory) and is seen by clients as business advisor and Growth Coach on growth opportunities in a specific market. The IP also plays a key role in developing client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Research & Analysis – Leverages advanced primary and secondary research methodologies and maintains a strong network of industry contacts. Conducts detailed market segmentation, forecasting, and in-depth analysis of the global wireless infrastructure and services enablement ecosystem (including 5G/6G, RAN, core, transport networks, edge computing, and managed services), identifying key trends, growth drivers, and emerging technologies.
  • Content Creation – Produces high-quality research deliverables, including reports, data models, dashboards, and client presentations that translate complex market data into actionable insights. Focuses on identifying growth opportunities and contributes to flagship outputs such as Frost Radars and Companies-to-Action. Actively shapes the direction and content of GOA subscriptions and supports Program Area Managers in strategic planning.
  • Client Engagement & Growth Coaching – Serves as a trusted advisor and Growth Coach to clients, leveraging strong strategic thinking and market expertise. Regularly engages with telecom operators, equipment vendors, and technology providers to validate insights and gather primary inputs. Supports Growth Pipeline Dialogues and plays a key role in guiding client decision-making.
  • Thought Leadership & Industry Visibility – Builds a strong external presence through social media and thought leadership activities. Delivers analyst briefings, growth opportunity presentations, conference talks, and media engagements. Contributes to think tank sessions and produces impactful content, demonstrating expertise to senior-level audiences.
  • Innovation & IP Development – Drives innovation by generating new ideas for GOA topics, products, and services within the wireless infrastructure and services enablement domain. Identifies and evaluates new market opportunities, contributing to the evolution of the Practice Area’s strategy and vision.
  • Business Development Support – Partners with the sales team to identify and develop new business opportunities. Contributes to client targeting, account planning, and commercial growth initiatives for the Program and Practice Area.

  • GOA Interactive Hours – Leads and manages client engagements through GOA interactive hours, delivering compelling presentations and actionable growth recommendations by leveraging broader Practice Area insights.
  • Advisory Projects – Contributes to advisory engagements as a lead analyst or project manager where domain expertise adds value, supporting impactful client outcomes.
  • Brand & Demand Solutions – Supports content-driven marketing initiatives as a subject matter expert, contributing to deliverables such as whitepapers, videos, and other thought leadership assets.

Required Competencies

The successful candidate will have an educational background in business, market research, economics, journalism, or technology with an enthusiastic curiosity about the critical role next-generation wireless infrastructure and related technologies play in the global mobile communications industry. A proactive, methodical, and innovative – thinking outside the box – working practice is essential, with the ability to deliver accurate, high impact results in a fast-paced team-focused environment.
