We’relooking for an Account Manager to serve as the primary service contact for a book of clients.You’llmanage day-to-day client needs, lead renewals and implementation work, coordinate with carriers and internal teams, and help clients make clear decisions about their benefit plans.
ExperINSworks primarily with HR departments and company leadership. Candidates should be comfortable interacting with professionals and understand the importance of business etiquette and clear communication.
This role is built for someone who can manage details without losing sight of the bigger picture.You’llhave real ownership of client work, support strategic recommendations, and help ensure every client receives consistent, thoughtful service.

Requirements

You’lllead the daily work that keeps client relationships strong and benefit plans running smoothly.
Manage a book of fully insured and self-funded clients across the full client lifecycle
Lead renewals, carrier marketing, implementation, plan changes, and open enrollment
Finalize and approve client facing materials: includingmeeting agendas, timelines, presentations, and recommendationsprepared byserviceteam.
Coordinate carrier quotes, compare plan options, and help clients understand cost and coverage tradeoffs
Develop andmaintainstrong client relationships
Advise clients on benefits compliance, including ERISA, COBRA, ACA, FMLA, and Form 5500 requirements
Guide and quality-check the work of Account Coordinators orData Analysts supporting the account
Developsexpertiseto confidently lead client discussions onunique strategic solutions.
Improve client service by documenting processes,identifyinggaps,andhelping the team work more consistentlybytaking ownershipand effectively delegating tasks.
WhatWe’reLooking For
We need someone who understands thebenefitsbusiness and can manage clients, deadlines, and details with confidence.
At least2years of employee benefits account management
Experience supporting fully insured and self-funded employer groups
Strong knowledge of medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and related benefit programs
Experience managing renewals, open enrollment, implementation, carrier communication, and ongoing service
The ability to explain complex benefit and compliance topics in clear, simple language
Strong organization, follow-through, and attention to detail
Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills to confidently lead client meetings and deliver clear, effective presentations.
The ability to lead work across clients, carriers, Account Coordinators, and internal teams
An active Life and Health insurance license
Experienceas an account manager inemployee benefits isrequired.
A college degree is preferred, but relevant experience, certifications, and demonstrated ability may be substituted.
