The trailer mechanic is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, and performing preventive maintenance on trailers to ensure they meet safety and manufacturer specifications. They must also interpret technical manuals, repair defective parts, and document all work in accordance with FMCSA and company regulations.
Candidates must have at least one year of experience or trade school completion and possess their own hand tools. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with the physical ability to lift 70 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
