ERM is seeking an Environmental Consultant to join our team in Perth.
ERM is rapidly growing in capability and capacity to help our clients face the growing challenges of developing and operating sustainable projects. As such, you will be part of a highly successful team responsible for driving key renewable energy projects forward through consulting on environmental approvals to support our sustainable business locally, while networking with ERM's global teams to share best practices across the industries.

Responsibilities:
Support the preparation of environmental, planning and regulatory approval documentation for a range of mining, energy, infrastructure and development projects.
Assist with the coordination and delivery of environmental impact assessments, approvals strategies and associated regulatory approvals.
Undertake desktop research, data review and analysis to support project assessments and approvals documentation.
Contribute to the preparation of high-quality technical reports, management plans, submissions, permit applications and supporting documentation.
Support engagement with clients, government agencies, technical specialists and other project stakeholders.
Assist in coordinating multidisciplinary project teams to ensure project deliverables are completed on schedule and to a high standard.
Monitor project progress and support project managers with scope, schedule, budget and risk management activities.
Maintain an understanding of relevant environmental legislation, policies and regulatory frameworks.
Participate in site visits, field investigations and client meetings as required.
Support the management of project documentation, records and quality assurance processes in accordance with ERM procedures.
Contribute to proposal preparation, business development activities and client relationship management initiatives.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, or related discipline.
3+ years’ experience in environmental consulting, government, mining, energy, infrastructure or a related field.
Experience working with the Environmental Protection Act 1986 and/or Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 and/or the Mining Act 1978.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise technical documentation.
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
Analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Valid Australian driver's licence and willingness to undertake occasional travel, including regional and remote travel.
