As part of our services, we often place an Inventory Project Manager onsite at a client’s facility. We are currently seeking an individual to support one of EquipNet’s largest and longest-standing pharmaceutical clients.

***This position is based in West Point, Pennsylvania, and requires regular travel to Rahway, New Jersey, as well as occasional travel to other locations throughout the United States.

About the Role

The Inventory Project Manager will support the client’s equipment management and inventory operations. Working closely with the client’s Asset Disposition Team, this person will play a key role in identifying, labeling, sorting, documenting, and coordinating the shipment of surplus laboratory equipment to EquipNet’s warehouses in Massachusetts.

The successful candidate will also be part of EquipNet’s global Project Management team—a collaborative group that values initiative, teamwork, and reliability. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized professional who has experience with inventory management and familiarity with laboratory instrumentation.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong working relationships with scientists throughout the West Point facility and coordinate the removal of instruments identified as surplus.

  • Label assets and work with the client’s Asset Disposition Team and onsite union personnel to schedule their removal to a designated holding area.

  • Record inventory in both the client’s tracking software and EquipNet’s Asset Redeployment Management System (ARMS).

  • Coordinate weekly shipments with EquipNet’s logistics team and ensure inventory records are complete and accurate when trucks are loaded.

  • Track shipments and monitor the creation of equipment listings by the EquipNet warehouse team.

  • Support similar equipment management activities at other client locations throughout the United States.

  • Collaborate with the client and EquipNet teams to identify and implement process improvements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma and at least three years of related inventory management experience involving laboratory, pharmaceutical, or similar equipment; or

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of comparable experience.

  • Familiarity with maintenance or inventory management systems.

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

  • Positive, professional, and collaborative approach.

  • Ability to work comfortably in both office and warehouse environments.

  • Valid driver’s license.

Additional Information

  • Full-time, salaried position employed by EquipNet and based onsite at the client’s West Point, PA, facility.

  • Travel is expected based on project volume.

  • Regular travel to Rahway, NJ, is required—typically at least a few times per month.

  • Occasional travel to other client locations throughout the United States may also be required.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual salary of $75,000–$85,000, commensurate with experience.

  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan.
