The specialist manages the full intake lifecycle for individuals entering services, from initial inquiry to authorization. They are also responsible for developing and submitting high-quality Person-Centered Plan support documents according to Maryland DDA requirements.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and 2-3 years of experience with a Maryland DDA provider or disability service. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with COMAR regulations and Medicaid billing are required.
The position of Intake & PCP Specialist is responsible for ensuring a seamless, compliant, and person-centered transition for individuals entering EPIC’s services. This role manages the full intake lifecycle—from initial inquiry through service authorization, and oversees the development, coordination, and timely submission of high‑quality Person-Centered Plan (PCP) Support Documents in accordance with Maryland Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) requirements.
Monday-Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 am; Essential: Some weekend and extended weekday hours may be required even in the event of inclement weather; Daily Job Site: Hybrid office/remote.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
· Must have a high school diploma or GED. Some college preferred.
· Must have intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills.
· Familiarity with COMAR regulations and Medicaid billing requirements.
· Prior experience with intake, case management and service coordination.
· Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation to travel locally.
· Minimum of 2-3 years of experience within a Maryland DDA provider, CCS agency or disability service.

· Have strong adaptability and flexibility to be effective in changing environments.
· Possess strong conflict resolutions skills.

These parents banded together to devise a program that would enable their children and others to become gainfully employed adults. Over the years, EPIC evolved from primarily helping people with intellectual challenges get jobs to providing an array of support services. For thirty years we have helped people become involved in their communities by pairing them with employers for jobs they enjoy working. Soon after, in 1989 we expanded our services to accommodate the needs of people’s housing limitations and opened our first community home. We now, provide services directly in the homes of families where reliable, trained professionals teach people various skills and attend community activities. Although we primarily provide services in Prince George’s county we also provide limited service in Montgomery and Charles counties.
