Who we are

Fidelity Life is a leading provider of financial security for middle market consumers. With a history of innovation, the company is redefining the life insurance industry with patented products and processes. Fidelity Life pioneered the use of predictive analytics to streamline the new business process and revolutionize the speed that policies can be issued. Established in 1896, Fidelity Life enjoys a long track-record of success and continues to build its reputation of sound fiscal management and customer-focused innovation.

In concert with Fidelity Life, eFinancial is an online and call-center-based insurance agency with a proven direct-to-consumer life insurance model. Using a proprietary and patented sales technology platform, eFinancial’s licensed agents help thousands of consumers each day with their unique life insurance needs – often with just a single phone call. To complement this channel, the company recently expanded to offer an entirely digital purchase experience.

Fidelity Life and eFinancial are part of iA Financial Group and are revolutionizing the life insurance industry to make protection more accessible and affordable for everyday Americans. With integrated marketing, product manufacturing, and controlled distribution, the enterprise is uniquely positioned to grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and analyze periodic experience reports summarizing product, distributor, underwriting, and profitability performance across Term Life, Whole Life, IUL, and related products.
  • Analyze placement, persistency, claims, expenses, straight-through processing, manual underwriting reviews, and final underwriting outcomes to identify trends and disciplined product innovation opportunities.
  • Prepare recurring KPI reporting and dashboards for product reviews, market intelligence discussions, and executive updates.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to translate insights into recommendations that support profitable growth across US Life functions.
  • Contribute to new product development by supporting opportunity sizing, competitive and market analysis, product feature comparisons, pricing inputs, business case materials, launch readiness metrics, and post-launch performance tracking.
  • Help manage the current product portfolio by monitoring performance trends, identifying products or segments needing corrective action, supporting portfolio rationalization, tracking product economics and operational complexity, and preparing recommendations for improvements.
  • Document assumptions, data definitions, analytical methods, and findings clearly so analyses are repeatable, actionable, and improvable.
  • Assist in the preparation of documentation supporting state filings for new and existing products.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and validation of actuarial models, assumptions, and analyses used for pricing, profitability monitoring, product development, and business decision-making.
  • Other duties/projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of actuarial, product, pricing, insurance analytics, underwriting analytics, or related life insurance experience.
  • Undergraduate degree in actuarial science, business, finance or a related field.
  • Completion of 2+ SOA exams preferred; active progress toward ASA designation expected.
  • Familiarity with life insurance products or related financial services, experience studies, segmentation analysis, dashboards, and profitability analysis.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency required. Experience with SQL and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) preferred; exposure to actuarial, statistical, or programming tools such as Python, R, or SAS is a plus.

Skills

  • Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, curiosity, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a cross-functional environment.
