Role Overview:
The Relationship Manager is a key support role withinCurrencyPartners’ Cape Town Distribution Team, working closely alongside the Business Consultants to ensure partners and clients receive a consistentlyhigh levelof service. The role sits at the intersection of operations, client relationship management, and business development support – freeing the Business Consultants to focus on revenue-generating activities whilst the Relationship Manager ensures the engine behind the scenes runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:
Operations Support
Support Business Consultants with partner queries, transaction statuses, and day-to-day operational requests, ensuringtimelyandaccurateresponses that uphold Currency Partners’ service standards.
Manage month-end partner administration, including reconciliation support, statement distribution, and follow-up on outstanding items.
Maintain the CRM system with discipline and accuracy – updating contact information, logging meetingnotesand key discussion points, tracking follow-up actions, and ensuring overall data integrity so that the team has reliable, up-to-date partner informationalways.
Assistwith the coordination andlogisticsof partner events, including venue liaison, invitations, materials preparation, and on-the-day support.
Support the preparation of marketing materials, proposals, and presentations for partner engagements.
Proactively build knowledge of Currency Partners’ FX products, systems, processes, and compliance requirements to become a credible and informed point of contact for partners.
Client & Partner Relationship Management
Conduct regular in-person visits to partners across the Cape Town region for relationship building, training delivery, and process updates –maintaininga visible, trusted presence within the partner network.
Manage and coordinate the quarterly meeting schedule, ensuring all required partner touchpoints are planned, confirmed, and executed on time.
Attend client and partner meetings alongside Business Consultants to support relationship development, take notes, and ensure agreed actions are followed up promptly.
Deliver partner training sessions on Currency Partners’ products, processes, and platforms, and provide structured follow-ups to reinforce learning and resolve any outstanding questions.
Cultivate strong working relationships with Currency Partners’ internal support teams – including settlements, compliance, and operations – to ensure seamless partner servicing and quick resolution of issues.
Identifyand flag potential business development opportunitiesobservedduring partner visits or interactions, passing these to the relevant Business Consultant for follow-up.
Qualifications &Experience:
Matric (essential) plus a completed undergraduate degree – preferably in Commerce, Finance, Business Management, or a related field.
A postgraduate qualification oradditionalstudies in financial services, investments, or wealth management would beadvantageous.
FAIS compliant or actively willing to complete the required regulatory examinations (RE5) as part of onboarding at Currency Partners.
1–3 years’ experience in a client-facing, sales support, or relationship management role within financial services, wealth management, or a related professional services environment.
Experience in or working knowledge of the Wealth and Asset Management industry isadvantageous– understanding the context in which Currency Partners’ partnersoperatewill accelerate your effectiveness in the role.
Experience managing ormaintaininga CRM system, with a strong understanding of the importance of data accuracy in a commercial environment.
Entrepreneurial experience or a demonstrated ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and self-direction isadvantageous.
