You will act as the first dedicated product analyst, responsible for turning user behavioral data into actionable insights for the product team. You will also define KPIs, manage data infrastructure, and collaborate with data engineering to ensure reliable reporting standards.
The role requires 3–5 years of experience in product or customer analytics with strong proficiency in SQL and Python. Candidates should be comfortable working with complex datasets and possess the ability to influence stakeholders without formal authority.

You’re the Product team’s first analyst, though not the company’s first. The Data & Analytics team already own the pipelines, tables, and models beneath the product. Your job is to turn what’s in that data into decisions PMs can act on. Right now, nobody does that. You report to the CPO, who sets the strategic direction and clears the way with other teams. We’re hiring at the Senior level because the work needs it. Nobody has scoped this role before, which means you will. You’re the subject matter expert on product analytics here: you decide what questions matter, what data actually answers them, and what a healthy reporting rhythm looks like for this company. Your manager sets strategic direction and clears organisational blockers that need executive weight. Everything else (the analysis, the frameworks, the judgment calls) is yours.
Be the Product team’s eyes: Dig into user behavioural data and find out why, not just what happened. We have dashboards for everything, but they don’t always explain what’s behind the numbers. That’s your job. You’ll decide which questions are worth answering.
Connect Product and Data Engineering: Data Engineering owns the pipelines, tables, and models. You’ll turn a PM’s question into a scoped, technical ask they can build against and make the case for why it matters when priorities compete. This relationship is yours to build and run.
Support the CPO directly: Handle recurring insight and reporting requests, packaging insights for senior leaders clearly and using your own judgment.
Set the standard for how we measure success: Decide how we track KPIs and maintain clean, reliable data. This won’t just be your own practice; it will become the standard that PMs, and eventually other analysts, are expected to follow.
Own where Product Analytics goes next: This function doesn’t exist yet — you’re building it. Decide what to track next, what to retire, and what we should be measuring in six months that we aren’t today.
Own how we track product launches, before and after: Be involved before a feature ships so the right tracking is in place from day one, rather than something that needs to be patched afterwards. Once it’s live, continue monitoring performance and build the habits and infrastructure needed to make this standard practice.
Reconcile data across platforms: When Mixpanel, our product data, and our marketing data disagree, investigate and reconcile the differences. Flag issues when the solution requires more than Analytics can address alone.
Introduce better tooling: Identify and implement better tools, including AI-assisted analysis and workflows, wherever they can make us more efficient. You’ll have a Claude Enterprise licence from day one.
3–5 years’ experience in product or customer analytics, ideally working alongside Product or Data Engineering teams.
Strong SQL and/or Python skills (or equivalent), with confidence working with large, complex, and messy production datasets.
Experience with product or customer analytics tools, such as Mixpanel, Google Analytics (GA), Power BI, AB Tasty, or similar platforms.
Comfortable working with ambiguity: Able to scope problems, make informed judgment calls, and course-correct independently without waiting for someone else to provide the answer.
Good judgment around escalation: Know when a blocker requires executive support and are confident raising it when necessary, while remaining comfortable operating autonomously day to day.
Able to influence without authority: Build strong relationships across departments, understand what teams genuinely need, and communicate your recommendations in terms that resonate with different stakeholders.
Self-starting and proactive: Comfortable taking ownership and acting without waiting for permission or detailed direction.
End-to-end analytics experience: Ideally, you’ve built or maintained dashboards and analyses from start to finish, even if you haven’t previously built an entire analytics function.
Comfortable using AI tools to accelerate, automate, and improve your analytical workflows.
Bonus: Previous experience within fintech, lending, financial services, or another regulated industry.
