The Market Center and Outdoor Market Coordinator is a full time, year round position responsible for assisting Market Management staff with Market Center and Outdoor Market operations. The Market Center and Outdoor Market Coordinator works Tuesday - Saturday.

Details

Findlay Market is Ohio’s longest running public market and an historic landmark. The Market Center is the main information hub for market shoppers, tourists, and vendors. While at Market Center the Market Management Coordinator is responsible for answering questions and handling all sales of merchandise, fulfilling/packing online orders, assisting with Market programs & promotions, and completing daily opening & closing procedures.

The Market Center and Outdoor Market Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate counts of merchandise as well as assisting the Market Manager with inventory of Nutrition Incentive tokens. The Market Center and Outdoor Market Coordinator will stock shelves and ensure cleanliness and organization of work and storage areas.

The Market Center and Outdoor Market Coordinator will be responsible for invoicing Outdoor Market vendors & coordinating weekly stall assignments. This position will act as a point of contact for vendors and will be the CFFM representative on Market days in the Market Manager’s absence. As necessary, this position will coordinate with Finance staff on invoicing and vendor payments.

The Market Center and Outdoor Market Coordinator will assist in the implementation of programs at Market Center. These include, but are not limited to, Nutrition Incentives, Residential Composting, Fundraising/Development, Special Events & Promotions. This position will coordinate with Development staff and Communication staff as necessary.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Market Center

Inventory Management

Manage inventory of Findlay Market merchandise, nutrition incentive tokens, gift certificates, and operational supplies.
Complete weekly and monthly inventory counts, ensuring inventory records remain accurate and replenishment needs are identified in a timely manner.
Receive, verify, and organize inventory deliveries, ensuring accuracy of shipments and proper storage.
Proactively communicate inventory needs and purchasing recommendations to the Market Manager to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
Ensure inventory storage areas remain organized, secure, and operationally ready.

Customer Service

Provide friendly and timely service to shoppers, Merchants, vendors, and community partners, ensuring professional interactions that always reflect Findlay Market's core values.
Serve as the first point of contact for routine shopper, Merchant, and vendor questions or concerns, resolving issues whenever possible and escalating complex issues to the Program Manager as appropriate.
Consistently communicate shopper, Merchant, or vendor issues with the Leadership Team for input and resolution.
Welcome visitors to Findlay Market and provide information regarding the Market, surrounding neighborhood, programs, events, and available resources.
Answer questions regarding upcoming events, activities, Market programs, and merchant offerings.
Maintain a positive, professional, and customer-focused experience for all visitors.
Coordinate with the Maintenance team regarding FMX Work Orders and communicate maintenance needs to ensure timely resolution.

Retail Sales & Online Order Fulfillment

Complete retail transactions for Market merchandise, gift certificates, nutrition incentive programs, and other program-related sales.
Process, fulfill, package, and prepare online orders for pickup or shipment, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
Assist in maintaining attractive retail displays, merchandising standards, and inventory presentation.

Program Coordination

Support implementation and daily operations of the following programs and initiatives:

Nutrition Incentive Programs

Assist with Produce Perks, Produce Perks ACH, Produce Perks+ and other nutrition incentive programs, including customer transactions, merchant support, token distribution, and reconciliation.
Serve as a point of contact for nutrition incentive questions from shoppers and participating Merchants.

Residential Composting Program

Support daily program operations, customer enrollment, education, and participant assistance.

Special Events & Promotions

Assist with implementation of promotions, seasonal initiatives, and community outreach activities.

Development & Fundraising

Support fundraising initiatives, donor engagement activities, and campaign logistics as assigned.

Community Outreach

Represent Findlay Market at tabling events and community engagements, promoting Market programs, services, and initiatives.

Events Support

Collaborate with the Events team to recruit and communicate with vendors participating in Market events, tastings, and special programming.
Complete vendor stall assignments within established timelines and communicate assignments with participating vendors.
Assist with event logistics, vendor communication, and operational support before, during, and after Market events.

Outdoor Market Operations

Process daily stall fee payments and follow up on failed or outstanding vendor charges.
Coordinate weekly vendor stall assignments, cancellations, relocations, and reassignment of available spaces.
Serve as the primary point of contact for current and prospective Outdoor Market vendors, providing exceptional customer service and timely issue resolution.
Assist with vendor recruitment and retention efforts to support a vibrant and diverse Outdoor Market.
Collaborate with Findlay Kitchen staff to support member participation in the Outdoor Market and facilitate successful vendor onboarding.
Serve as the on-site representative of the Corporation for Findlay Market in the absence of the Market Manager or senior leadership, ensuring continuity of daily Market operations and appropriate resolution or escalation of operational issues.

Must have a valid driver's license and be eligible to operate CFFM vehicles as needed.
