Requires a High School Diploma and certification as a Paramedic, EMT, Respiratory Therapist, or Military Corpsman. BLS certification is required, and Board Certification in Hyperbaric Medicine is preferred.

Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital is also home to The James and Patricia Anderson Surgical Center, a leading-edge, hybrid surgical suite offering advanced learning, technological advancements and a wide array of procedures ranging from traditional to minimally invasive approaches.
Scope of work
Administers hyperbaric oxygen therapy under the direction of the Hyperbaric Technical Director, physician, and technologists. Performs duties under the physiologic stresses of the hyperbaric environment. The technician monitors patients before, during and after hyperbaric therapy, and is responsible for the safe operation of the hyperbaric chamber. Assists in the delivery of patient care.
