The Role
We are currently hiring for a Strategic Account Manager in our UK business to drive the development, growth, and performance of key broker relationships across the Midlands & South West territory. This role will act as the single, coordinated face of CNA Hardy to brokers, delivering profitable growth, strengthening market presence, and deepening engagement across our specialist product set.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading broker relationships: Own and develop relationships with key brokers and offices, building trusted partnerships and positioning CNA Hardy as a preferred specialist partner aligned to broker strategies and client needs.
- Driving profitable growth: Deliver new business across Company and Lloyd’s platforms, identifying, developing and converting opportunities through structured engagement and pipeline management.
- Executing broker plans: Create and deliver targeted broker development plans, translating national strategy into actionable regional activity and tracking performance against key objectives.
- Collaborating internally: Act as the key interface between brokers and internal teams, aligning underwriting, product and claims to ensure consistent messaging, clear appetite and effective delivery.
- Managing pipeline & insight: Maintain a strong pipeline through CRM tools, using data, performance insight and market intelligence to prioritise activity and optimise results.
What We’re Looking For
- Broker market experience: Proven background in commercial insurance distribution, broker development or underwriting-facing sales within a specialist or technical insurance environment.
- Market knowledge: Strong understanding of the UK intermediary market, including regional broker dynamics and trading models.
- Relationship leadership: Credible and confident relationship-builder with the ability to influence and engage senior broker stakeholders.
- Commercial focus: Highly commercially astute, with a track record of delivering profitable growth and managing portfolio quality.
- Structured and self-driven: Organised, data-driven and resilient, with the ability to manage a territory autonomously and influence internal stakeholders without direct authority.
