The Hostler is responsible for moving vehicles, trailers, and flatbeds within the dock and yard area to facilitate efficient loading and unloading. Key duties include performing yard checks, inspecting equipment, and managing freight using manual equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent (or 3 years of industry driving experience) and at least 6 months of related experience. Required credentials include a valid Class C Driver's License, Forklift Certification, and DOT Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Materials Certification.
