Position Summary

CleanFiber is seeking a hands-on Shipping & Receiving Lead to help coordinate the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of inbound materials and outbound finished goods.

This is a working Lead position. You will work alongside the Shipping & Receiving team while providing day-to-day direction, setting priorities, coordinating dock and yard activity, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring shipping/receiving documentation is completed correctly and on time.

The Lead works closely with Logistics, Production, Quality Control, Maintenance, carriers, and drivers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

  • Lead daily Shipping & Receiving activities while remaining actively involved in the work.
  • Set shift priorities and coordinate team assignments based on operational needs.
  • Maintain a strong floor and yard presence, actively supporting the team and monitoring workflow throughout the shift.
  • Coordinate loading, unloading, staging, dock activity, and trailer movements.
  • Ensure customer orders are loaded accurately with the correct product and quantities.
  • Oversee the safe receipt, movement, and storage of inbound materials.
  • Maintain accurate inventory, trailer locations, and shipping/receiving records, ensuring transactions are updated accurately and in real time.
  • Review shipping paperwork and system transactions for accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies, delays, and operational issues before they impact shipments or customers whenever possible.
  • Take ownership of operational issues through resolution and escalate promptly when additional support or direction is needed.
  • Communicate priorities, exceptions, delays, and shift handoffs clearly.
  • Coordinate with Production and Quality Control regarding product availability and shipment readiness.
  • Work with carriers and drivers to support inbound and outbound activity.
  • Train, coach, and support Shipping & Receiving team members.
  • Reinforce safe forklift/PIV, material-handling, dock, and yard practices.
  • Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient work area.
  • Support continuous improvement and other operational needs as assigned.

Experience

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2–3 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing experience required
  • Forklift/PIV operating experience required
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment required
  • Strong attention to inventory, documentation, and transactional accuracy required
  • Demonstrated accountability and follow-through, with the ability to make sound decisions and recognize when an issue needs to be escalated required
  • Good written and verbal communication skills required
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications required
  • Working knowledge of Google Sheets, Gmail, and Google Calendar required
  • Ability to learn and effectively use ERP/WMS and other logistics systems required

Preferred

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills preferred
  • Previous Lead, training, or team-coordination experience preferred
  • NetSuite experience preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Lift up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and sample handling
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, noise, and moving equipment
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment(PPE)when necessary

Work Schedule

  • Full-time
  • A Shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday, 7:00AM - 7:30PM
  • C Shift: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday, 7:00AM - 7:30PM
  • Occasional overtime as required

Compensation

Salary Range:

$25-26 / hr plus shift differential ($2/hr Monday and Tuesday; $3/hr Wednesday and Sunday)
