The officer is responsible for receiving and prioritizing emergency and non-emergency messages via radio, telephone, and CAD software. They must dispatch police personnel to appropriate locations to ensure continuous public safety coverage.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Georgia driver's license. Applicants are expected to obtain or hold P.O.S.T. Communication Officer, Emergency Medical Dispatch, and GCIC certifications.
The City of Suwanee Police Department is looking for a Full Time 911 / Communications Officer to join our team.
This position is responsible for receiving messages via radio, telephone, and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software; prioritizing messages; and dispatching personnel to emergency and non-emergency situations. The City of Suwanee provides police service 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Shift work - including nights, weekends and holidays-is required.

Compensation:
$57,547.60 annualized, based on 84 hours per bi-weekly pay cycle and including 11 paid holidays
