Monday - Friday 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM (April - October) 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (November - March)
Starting Rate: 
$39.5000 hourly

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Operate heavy equipment such as street sweepers, snowplows, and Vactor trucks to maintain City streets, alleys, and sewer systems.
  • Support seasonal operations, including snow and ice removal, using plows and other equipment.
  • Perform ditching and drainage work using road-graders, backhoes, and culvert-setting equipment.
  • Load and transport materials using end-loaders and assist with general maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain and improve unpaved roads and alleys by grading, pulverizing, and rolling surfaces to ensure safe and even travel.


Required Qualifications:

Completion of a high school diploma or GED, and four years of experience with operating heavy equipment. Requires possession of a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Preference for employment in all positions with the city shall be given to applicants who are full-time city residents.
