Responsible for transporting prisoners between arrest sites, jails, and courts while maintaining medical and intake records. Additionally provides administrative and clerical support to the police department and assists with fleet maintenance.
Requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid Georgia Class C driver's license, and the ability to pass a jailer certification course. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and pass a comprehensive background investigation and physical exam.
This position is responsible for transporting prisoners from the arrest site to the DeKalb County jail and from the DeKalb County jail to the City of Doraville Municipal Court and other assigned locations as needed. This position will also provide administrative support to the police department clerical staff as assigned.
