We have an exciting opportunity for a Recovery Coordinator to support an exciting research project, recruiting participants, obtaining consent, delivering tailored psychosocial support, and acturately collecting confidential data and toxicology samples. This is a varied, hands-on role offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact, with full training provided.
No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.

Hours: Part Time, 22.5 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent
*Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours
Responsibilities
About the role:
Supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey
Providing screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referral
Managing a caseload
Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community
Develop effective working relationships with equivalent postholders and multidisciplinary research teams across participating trial sites to promote collaboration and consistency.
Liaise professionally with study sponsors, trial management organisations, and other external stakeholders to support successful trial delivery and governance.
Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determination
Deliver structured content within group settings to service users at various stages of recovery
Tailor specific workshops around the needs of the service users, such as: anger management, sleep disorders, relationships, etc
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of research protocols, clinical interventions, and study procedures, ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with the approved protocol and study design.
Identify and engage potential participants who may be suitable for inclusion in the trial.
About you:
Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience of working within a similar field
Experience of working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics, such as conflict or challenging behaviour.
Accomplished written and verbal communication skills and a high degree of personal IT competency. The ability to accurately update and maintain records in a timely fashion and to work to deadlines for the submission of information, e.g. reports.
Have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice
Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders
Strong team collaboration skills; able to work independently and exercise initiative
Proven ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
Previous experience of working with relevant patient groups
What we will give to you:
25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays. Additionally, you'll receive one extra day of annual leave for each year of service during your first five years, therefore you will enjoy 30 days of leave after five years with us.
