Description of domain/function:

The Network (NT) procurement domain holds global commercial responsibility supporting the network needs of Deutsche Telekom and Orange, ensuring access to the best technologies and services. The Network Domain consists of five technical areas, covering Radio Access Networks (RAN) , Fixed Access, transport & IP (FTI), Core and Control, Managed Services and Passive Infrastructure.

In Passive Infrastructure, our team negotiates a large range of Hardware equipment: Antenna Line Devices and related accessories, Fiber Optical Cables, all material for fix and mobile infrastructure rollout (e.g. Ducts / Pipes, Optical distribution frames, Cabinets, Optical splice closures, Optical termination outlets, Optical accessories, etc.), as well as Energy hardware for fix and mobiles sites (e.g. Lead acid and Lithium Batteries, Battery Energy Storage Systems, DC Power Cabinets, UPS, etc.).

Your Responsibilities

As Senior Strategic Sourcer Energy Hardware, you will be in charge of several sub-categories covering DC Power equipment / Cabinets for Mobile sites, UPS, Lead-acid / Lithium batteries, Battery energy storage systems (BESS), Cooling solutions, as well as Gensets & Solar solutions.

Your role will consist of:

  • Lead end to end procurement projects based on demands coming from countries, new technical needs, change in volumes or market disruptions

  • As a project leader: Building and executing the procurement strategy, defining & executing cost optimization levers and realization plans - following Buyin’s rules, supported by our digital toolset.

  • Independently lead RFQs from requirements definition to final negotiation and contract signature, achieving targets on savings and customer satisfaction.

  • Monitoring suppliers in your portfolio, enhancing contractual terms (e.g. Sustainability, Artificial Intelligence) and proactively managing potential risks (e.g. geopolitical, transport, disruption on raw materials).

  • Supporting procurement counterparts in the countries in contracts implementation and providing ad-hoc support for local specific needs. Ensuring right level of communication with them, leveraging digital tools as well as personal interactions.

Your Profile

You hold a Master degree in the area of Procurement, Legal, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or a similar qualification. You have at least 5 years’ experience in procurement in an industrial context.

You also possess the following skills and experience:

  • Interest in telecommunication and network related hardware, strong ability to quickly onboard on new technical and business areas and build product category ownership

  • Ability to manage multi-million Euro projects, leveraging your analytical and conceptual capabilities, as well as strong negotiation skills.

  • Intercultural background with team player attitude.

  • Ability and high engagement to translate concepts into execution. Project management skills - meeting targets, ensuring quality standards and project planning

  • Expertise in contract management

  • Fluency in English and German, French is a plus

  • Willingness to travel
