About Bridgewater

Bridgewater Associates is a premier asset management firm, focused on delivering unique insight and partnership for the most sophisticated global institutional investors. Our investment process is driven by a tireless pursuit to understand how the world’s markets and economies work – using cutting edge technology to validate and execute on timeless and universal investment principles.

Founded in 1975, we are a community of independent thinkers who share a commitment for excellence. By fostering a culture of openness, transparency, and inclusion, we strive to unlock the most complex questions in investment strategy, management, and corporate culture.

Our Culture

Our culture is anchored in excellence, meaning constant improvement, and it is deeply tied to our mission. Because markets are objective, competitive, and getting smarter everyday, we need to keep rapidly improving to have any chance of beating them. Truth is our most essential tool for engaging with the markets and constantly improving because once you know what's true about your problems and opportunities, you can determine how to get better. Valuing truth means being transparent about your decision-making and mistakes, giving and receiving feedback with humility, and fighting for the best answers over hierarchy, ego, or self-interest. Operating this way is hard – it's only possible because we build meaning in our work and relationships. This meaning comes from the audacity of the mission, and the joy of working alongside people who make you a better version of yourself. The culture, like Bridgewater itself, is always evolving. In 1997 our founder Ray Dalio wrote down his lessons, starting with a Philosophy Statement which remains our foundation. This later evolved into a set of 300+ Principles. In 2022, when Ray transitioned the company, we re-underwrote several of those principles and evolved others, with a specific focus on Meritocracy. Today the culture sits, alongside our people, as our most important edge. When we get it right, it’s the engine that powers everything else.

About the Human Resources Department

The Human Resources Department at Bridgewater Associates is dedicated to strengthening the talent and systems that drive individual and organizational excellence- supporting our mission to develop a deep understanding of global economies and serve our clients with distinction. HR partners closely with business leaders across the full employee lifecycle, providing both strategic thought partnership and rigorous operational execution across recruiting, onboarding, compensation, benefits, performance, and workplace experience.

With an AI-first mindset, the team continuously builds capacity for higher-value work and improves the employee experience at scale. Our five core responsibilities span serving as subject matter experts on all people operations, running the processes that bring our talent strategy to life, ensuring every employee feels deeply cared for and celebrated, safeguarding the institution through disciplined compliance and governance, and building the infrastructure behind firm-wide talent operations.

At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to cultural alignment, precision, and creating an environment where people are supported and positioned to succeed.

About the Role

We are currently seeking an Executive Coordinator to support Bridgewater’s Chief Human Resources Officer. This person will be a key partner in managing the CHRO’s time, commitments, and coordination, and will liaise often with senior leaders and teams across the department and the firm. The Executive Coordinator will independently field and prioritize incoming requests, manage commitments and calendars, and ensure broad organization and coordination across the CHRO’s responsibilities. This role requires a highly organized person who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can juggle multiple, sometimes competing, priorities seamlessly, staying two steps ahead of the CHRO and connecting the day-to-day to the goals it serves. Given the sensitive nature of the information the office engages on, unwavering professionalism, absolute discretion, and exceptional judgment are all non-negotiable. This is an "admin plus" role with room to grow — including applying AI to the office's work and taking on projects across the CHRO's agenda.

You will drive the following responsibilities:

  • Serve as the CHRO's first point of contact for scheduling and administrative requests, representing the CHRO with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactively and independently manage scheduling and meeting needs, including calendar management, meeting prep, and space setup, and coordinate travel and expenses.
  • Track deliverables and commitments to ensure timely completion, following up and flagging early when something is at risk.
  • Partner closely with the office to advance strategic priorities and deliverables, keeping a clear and current view of where things stand.
  • Independently run and evolve department machinery and processes (e.g., department meetings, transparency, community, etc.).
  • Orchestrate and drive special projects, surfacing questions and trade-offs early to keep momentum.

Desired Profile:

  • A proactive team player who learns quickly and improves efficiency.
  • A big-picture thinker who keeps sight of goals, not just tasks.
  • Skilled at distilling information, prioritizing well, and summarizing key points for senior leaders.
  • Able to orchestrate and prioritize multiple activities at once while maintaining high-quality work.
  • A practical problem-solver who builds repeatable solutions.
  • Comfortable anticipating others' needs and raising issues proactively, including upward.
  • Naturally curious and eager to learn and apply new tools, including AI, to everyday work.
  • Committed to truth, excellence, and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years supporting senior management in an administrative capacity.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy.
  • Ability to anticipate and independently solve problems.
  • Adaptable to unexpected changes and fast-moving situations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word; familiar with Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Comfortable with AI tools, or eager to learn them.
  • Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record preferred.

Physical Requirements:

The anticipated onsite requirement for this role is four days per week in the office with three days at our New York City campus, and one at our Westport, CT campus.

Compensation

The wage range for this role is $125,000 - $200,000 inclusive of base salary and discretionary target bonus. The expected base salary for this role is between 80% and 90% of this wage range.
