Body Art Alliance is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Digital Operations and Ecommerce Systems Architecture to lead the execution, optimization, and continuous evolution of our digital technology ecosystem.
Reporting to the VP of Digital & IT Operations, this role partners closely with Digital, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Customer Experience, and cross-functional business leaders to deliver scalable technology solutions that drive growth, operational excellence, and an exceptional customer experience.
The ideal candidate is an experienced technology and business leader who excels at translating business strategy into technical solutions. This individual will oversee Ecommerce systems, enterprise integrations, digital operations, and strategic technology initiatives while helping shape the future of our digital ecosystem through innovation, AI, automation, and continuous improvement.
Digital Strategy & Technology Leadership
Partner with the VP of Digital & IT Operations to execute the company's digital technology strategy and roadmap.
Develop scalable technology solutions that support long-term business growth.
Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
Drive continuous improvement across digital platforms and enterprise systems.
Balance innovation with operational discipline and sound technology governance.
Ecommerce Systems & Digital Operations
Lead the optimization and ongoing support of our Ecommerce ecosystem, including Shopify Plus and supporting technologies.
Improve website performance, merchandising capabilities, customer experience, SEO, and conversion optimization.
Partner with Marketing and Digital teams on promotions, product launches, and customer-facing initiatives.
Ensure operational excellence across product catalogs, pricing, inventory, customer, and order management.
Monitor key performance metrics and recommend improvements based on business data and customer insights.
Enterprise Systems Architecture & Integration
Design and oversee scalable system architecture supporting Ecommerce, ERP, CRM, marketing platforms, payment systems, and third-party integrations.
Partner with business leaders to translate operational needs into technical solutions.
Improve data quality, master data governance, and system interoperability.
Ensure reliable, secure, and efficient data flow across enterprise applications.
Partner with internal and external development teams to deliver scalable, well-designed solutions.
Project & Program Leadership
Lead enterprise technology projects from concept through implementation.
Establish project priorities, timelines, resource planning, risk management, and executive reporting.
Champion Agile methodologies and continuous process improvement.
Successfully manage multiple concurrent initiatives while balancing competing priorities.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
Leadership & Cross Functional Partnership
Build trusted relationships across Operations, Finance, Marketing, Customer Experience, Supply Chain, and IT.
Mentor and develop team members while fostering accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
Manage relationships with technology vendors, consultants, and external partners.
Support organizational change management and user adoption of new technologies and business processes.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, curiosity, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
Eight or more years of progressive leadership experience supporting digital operations, Ecommerce platforms, enterprise systems, or technology strategy.
Demonstrated success leading enterprise technology implementations and cross-functional initiatives.
Strong experience with Shopify Plus or comparable enterprise Ecommerce platforms.
Experience integrating ERP, CRM, payment, fulfillment, marketing, and third-party systems.
Experience with integration platforms such as Celigo or similar iPaaS solutions.
Strong understanding of APIs, enterprise integrations, system architecture, and master data management.
Experience leading Agile projects and technology roadmaps.
Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
Passion for innovation, AI, automation, and continuous improvement.
Preferred
Experience with NetSuite ERP.
Experience with Shopify Plus.
Experience with Celigo.
Experience with Power BI, Snowflake, Fivetran, or enterprise analytics platforms.
Experience with Klaviyo, Zendesk, HubSpot, Avalara, or similar business applications.
Experience supporting manufacturing, wholesale distribution, retail, or direct-to-consumer businesses.
PMP, Scrum Master, or other project management certifications are preferred.
