Manages repair and maintenance of manufacturing equipments and utilities including:
Installing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electronic equipment, tools, and instruments
Installing, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing facilities infrastructure
Making/machining replacement tools and parts for manufacturing operations
Planning and prioritizing work orders and scheduling overall repair and maintenance activities to minimize production downtime and disruptions
Specific Summary
This role is intended to lead a Production Maintenance team. Organize, administrate, optimize Maintenance Management and Production Maintenance activities, and oversee Project Management. Manage and oversee Preventive Maintenance, Corrective, and Urgent Maintenance workflow and activities in the Blue Mountain CMMS. Reduce the cost of maintenance and optimize department maintenance execution as well as management of outside contractors. Direct and oversee the Production Maintenance teams daily and project activities to ensure efficiency and productivity of the Production Maintenance team.
This is a working Supervisor position and is expected to contribute to the maintenance activities in the production area at least 70% of the time and perform administrative tasks in the office 30% of the time.
Primary Duties
Lead maintenance technicians and oversee daily operations to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
Conduct advanced maintenance and troubleshooting on complex systems to ensure optimal performance.
Implement and ensure execution of the maintenance operational plan and strategy.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all maintenance activities.
Contribute to budget forecast and analysis in the own perimeter.
Contribute to specific projects including new product implementation and new machine installations in the maintenance area.
Coordinate maintenance activities and effectively manage resources to optimize performance.
Monitor team performance and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Provide training and support to team members, fostering skill development and a collaborative work environment.
Local Primary Duties
This position has supervisory responsibility for decisions that directly impact the Production Maintenance Team as well as site manufacturing activities and product quality.
Lead the assigned Production Maintenance shift to cost effectively produce a quality product that meets all regulatory and customer needs.
Support maintenance and production areas by demonstrating leadership behaviors: a self‑starter who is organized, detailed, conscientious, and ambitious.
A team player with a positive attitude, approaching projects and tasks with a sense of ownership and a focus on root cause analysis and sustainable failure prevention.
Review preventative and corrective maintenance activities with a focus on constant improvement of existing procedures and processes and ensure all required documentation and records are maintained in accordance with site procedures and cGMP.
Perform periodic PM execution verification checks for quality of service.
Lead troubleshooting efforts to solve and address complex problems; drive root cause analysis and continuous equipment, system, and infrastructure improvement toward implementation of a sustainable reliability‑based maintenance program.
Plan, initiate, and track progress of work assignments utilizing CMMS to meet manufacturing schedules and needs; effectively communicate status across shifts, throughout Production, and to site management.
Provide training, mentoring, and drive professional development.
Perform departmental audits.
Follow all site Safety Policies and OSHA policies including requirements related to personal protective equipment as needed to perform routine and non‑routine duties.
Assist in special assignments with outside technicians or departments such as training or personnel.
Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology, Mechatronics or related field and 4+ years of experience, working with highly automated electrical and mechanicals systems, including demonstrated ability to lead others.
Or in lieu of degree, 8+ years of experience working with highly automated electrical and mechanical systems, including demonstrated ability to lead others.
Preferred
Preferred 8 years of experience working with production equipment and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

The estimated salary range for this role is between $38.00-$60.60. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bioMerieux’s bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate’s experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
