We are excited to hire a motivated and creative part-time Media Specialist to support our communications and outreach efforts. This role will help create social media content, film and edit videos, brainstorm creative ideas, assist with recording and gathering testimonials, attend events and handle various administrative and clerical tasks. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, tech-savvy, and passionate about storytelling and community engagement. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in media, marketing, and event support while making a meaningful impact.
Job Requirements:
Travel to BHS programs, events, and community activities to capture photos and videos for social media, marketing, and promotional purposes.
Create, edit, and assist with publishing engaging video content, including reels, short-form videos, and promotional clips.
Design social media graphics and promotional materials to support programs, events, and campaigns.
Assist in developing content calendars and recommendations for future social media posts and campaigns.
Conduct interviews and gather testimonials from program participants, partners, staff, and community members.
Research free media opportunities, including local radio, newspapers, television, podcasts, and community publications.
Assist in promoting programs, special events, fundraisers, and community initiatives through various media channels.
Support communications, outreach efforts, and other administrative or clerical tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Media, or equivalent.
Current Texas driver’s license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance are required.
Strong communication skills with creativity and the ability to develop engaging content ideas for social media and community outreach.
Experience with Canva, Edits, Capcut, and Video Editing tools needed
