Job DetailsJob Location: Bethany Athletic Club - Portland, OR 97229Position Type: Part TimeJob Shift: AnyBethany Athletic Club, a premier athletic club in Portland’s west side seeks a Swim Instructor to join the Aquatics team! The successful candidate will provide an experience for our members that assist them in building confidence and trust within themselves while in the water. Our Swim Instructors provide a fun, relaxing, and welcoming pool experience, while ensuring a safe environment for all.
Schedule: Weekday afternoons and/or weekends
Pay: Commission-based scale
Understand and enforce pool rules set forth by the club
Help to create and/or distribute working group lesson schedules
Provide lessons in a timely manner, ensuring classes start and end at correct time
Ensure each participant’s needs are met throughout swimming sessions
Help to ensure all lessons are enjoyable and effective
1+ years of swim experience
Lifeguarding certification from Red Cross
This position requires First Aid and CPR certifications
All team members must have the basic ability to use computer/smart phone applications for training and company system purposes. Employees must also be able to comprehend written documents such as work orders, safety rules, instructions, policies, and procedures. Also required is the ability of employees to speak and communicate effectively with clients, coworkers and management.
