Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. Candidates must have a solid technical foundation in Python and familiarity with core machine learning concepts.
About the role
The AI Graduate Programme combines hands-on project work with structured onboarding, close collaboration, and mentoring from experienced consultants and AI specialists at BASE.
You will work on AI-driven initiatives where technology is applied to real-world life sciences and pharmaceutical business problems, often in regulated environments. Over the course of the programme, you will gradually move from supporting ongoing initiatives to independently delivering AI solutions that create tangible business value for our customers. By the end of the programme, you are expected to have contributed to at least two AI initiatives that measurably improves a business process or team efficiency.
Your responsibilities
You will contribute to a range of AI- and data-related activities depending on project needs and your development stage. This includes working with both structured and unstructured data, supporting the development of AI-driven tools and solutions, and contributing to client-facing projects where business challenges are translated into technical implementations.
You will experiment with modern AI technologies, including machine learning and large language model–based solutions, and collaborate with colleagues to break down complex problems into practical, scalable solutions.
You bring
You are close to completing or have recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline. Relevant projects, thesis work, or personal experiments with AI are a plus, but not required.
You have a solid technical foundation, including hands-on experience with Python and real datasets through coursework, thesis work, or personal projects. You are familiar with core machine learning concepts and comfortable experimenting with modern AI tools and coding assistants. Exposure to areas such as LLMs, retrieval‑augmented generation, agent-based approaches, or cloud-based experimentation is highly valued, even if gained through university or hobby projects.
Above all, you are curious about new technologies and motivated to continuously learn and apply AI in practical, business-oriented contexts.
