The Lead Hand is responsible for overseeing preventative maintenance and performing repairs on machinery and equipment to ensure efficient mine operations. They also provide input into maintenance planning and ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies.
Candidates must hold an Interprovincial Millwright Trade Certification and have at least 2 years of mining industry experience at a Lead Hand level. The role requires the ability to work a rotational schedule at a remote camp and maintain high performance during 12-hour shifts.

Reporting to the Fixed Plant Supervisor’s, Lead Hand is responsible for preventative maintenance. Troubleshoots and makes repairs as required on machinery and equipment throughout the mine site.
Location: Blackwater Mine site
Schedule: Two (2) Weeks On – Two (2) Weeks Off Rotation
