Job Summary
Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a motivated Preventative Maintenance (PM) / Lube Technician based out of our Farmingdale, NJ shop to support the fleet maintenance operations in our East Region. This role is responsible for performing scheduled preventative maintenance services, inspections, lubrication, and light repairs on a
diverse fleet of heavy equipment, paving equipment, on-road trucks, trailers, asphalt plant equipment, and support vehicles. The successful candidate will work independently in a company lube truck while supporting shop and field operations.
Day to Day
Actively promote safety
Perform preventative maintenance services on heavy equipment, paving equipment, trucks,
Trailers, and support vehicles
Perform oil changes, filter replacements, fluid services, and lubrication
Conduct equipment inspections and report deficiencies to maintenance management
Perform minor repairs including (but not limited to) lights, batteries, hoses, belts, and basic electrical repairs
Complete maintenance documentation and service records accurately
Maintain lube truck inventory and cleanliness
Assist mechanics with repairs and field service work as needed
Respond to service calls for basic maintenance-related issues
Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Other duties or responsibilities as assigned
About You
Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Experience servicing construction equipment, paving equipment, trucks, agricultural equipment, or
Similar machinery preferred
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred but not required
Ability to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, for an extended period
The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Experience with preventative maintenance on diesel-powered equipment preferred
Construction, quarry, asphalt, paving, or heavy equipment industry experience preferred
Basic hydraulic and electrical knowledge preferred
Familiarity with maintenance software and inspection documentation preferred
Compensation
$24.36 - $28.52 Hrly
Working Conditions
While most areas have air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
