About the Role

The Digital Channels Assurance Analyst plays a key role within the Digital Channels Line 1 Risk team, supporting the effective management of non-financial risk across a portfolio of strategic, regulatory and customer-focused initiatives.

This is a hands-on role that combines risk management, data analysis, governance and stakeholder engagement. Working closely with risk managers, business stakeholders, delivery teams, technology teams and control owners, you will leverage data and insights to identify trends, emerging risks and areas requiring management attention.

You will be a trusted partner to the team, taking ownership of reporting, governance activities and risk deliverables, while helping drive informed decision-making and positive business outcomes. Success in this role comes from your ability to analyse information, ask the right questions, build strong stakeholder relationships and influence outcomes across a diverse group of stakeholders.

This role will also assist with the delivery of assurance activities across the PACT (People, Accountability, Customers and Trust) program, alongside input into Single Customer Front End (SCFE) transformation and Suncorp Integration Program, providing independent insight into the effectiveness of risk management, controls and customer outcomes within Digital Channels.

What will your day look like?

As a Digital Channels Assurance Analyst, you will:

• Analyse and interpret risk, issue, event, control and action data to identify trends, emerging risks and areas requiring management attention.
• Prepare high-quality reporting, dashboards, presentations and governance materials that provide meaningful insights and support effective decision-making.
• Partner with business, technology, delivery and risk stakeholders to gather information, challenge assumptions, coordinate outcomes and support effective risk management practices.
• Support governance forums end-to-end, including stakeholder engagement, agenda management, pack preparation, action tracking and follow-up activities.
• Act as a trusted source of portfolio information, maintaining high-quality risk and governance data and ensuring stakeholders have visibility of key risks, issues and remediation activities.
• Support the management of risks, issues, events, controls and remediation activities, helping drive actions and deliverables through to completion.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

• Experience in operational risk, non-financial risk, governance, assurance, compliance, audit, PMO, business analysis or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear insights, recommendations and actions.
• Experience working with data, reporting and dashboards to support decision-making, identify trends and monitor risk outcomes.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with experience preparing executive-level reporting and governance materials.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and work effectively across business, technology and risk teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including confidence presenting to senior stakeholders and governance forums.
• Confidence to ask probing questions, challenge constructively and escalate issues where required.
• The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and drive outcomes in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
