Operate control systems to monitor and transfer products while loading materials into railcars, trucks, and cartons. Perform minor maintenance on railcars and ensure all operations adhere to safety and environmental standards.
A high school diploma is required, along with the ability to operate forklifts and track-mobiles and lift 50 lbs. A two-year degree or experience in chemical plant operations is preferred.
Overview: The Logistics Technician is a day position at the Marietta polystyrene plant. The job requires work on day turn Monday – Friday and will require overtime on weekends and holidays during high workload periods. The position requires knowledge and use of a workstation, use of a computerized maintenance work order and shipment release system (SAP), minor maintenance on railcars, and the ability to safely and responsibly operate the plant equipment using standard operating procedures and work processes.
