Responsibilities
Using the daily statement of accounts, prepare the list of delinquent firms to be arbitrated against.
Review and proof all pre and past arbitration documents.
Occasional drafting of pre and post arbitration documents.
Research and investigate the whereabouts of principals of delinquent firms.
Prepare complaints involving personal actions for House Counsel is review and follow subsequent litigation.
Analyze liability of delinquent firm.Legal research/non legal research.
Gather evidence necessary to substantiate claim.
Prepare and file bankruptcy claims and periodically update status of distribution.
Assist in preparation of Trustees reports.
Attend arbitration hearings.
Monitor status of cases sent to various Local Counsels.
Writes and answers memoranda and correspondence.
Follows court calendar.
Communicates with union locals and joint boards as well as contributing employees and their attorneys.
Checks calculations of firms liability for award.
Qualifications
Ability to work with figures/calculator.
Knowledge of CRT,litigation,substantive law.
Legal research.Ability to gather and apply data,communicate information clearly.
