The Student Relationship Officer promotes financial literacy and RebelsCU services through on-campus events, workshops, and membership drives. They are also responsible for managing member accounts and providing administrative support at the campus branch.

Requirements

Candidates must be students in good standing with a commitment to the full academic year and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong communication skills and a history of involvement in extra-curricular or community activities are required.

JOB SUMMARY

A Student Relationship Officer (SRO) intern will build and strengthen the RebelsCU relationship with other students, members and organizations of the University,  promoting financial literacy utilizing and educating members on the appropriate products and services while supporting the on-campus branch. This role will involve engaging with students/members through events, educational workshops, membership drives, and other related on-campus branch functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Student & Member Engagement

  • Organizes, leads, and executes on-campus promotions and events, such as but not limited to, membership drives, member appreciation events, and financial literacy programs.
  • Develops, facilitates and in some cases conduct financial literacy events or programs.
  • Leverages and engages partnerships across campus, such as student clubs, residence halls, university organizations, academic departments, administration, faculty, staff, alumni association, etc. to expand presence and reach
  • Researches and develops strategic projects and campaigns specific to the RebelsCU College Strategy such as making recommendations for improvements to the current initiatives and proposing future projects. 
  • Connects with students, faculty, and staff to promote RebelsCU and its services.
  • May educate students on financial wellness, budgeting, and responsible practices under the guidance of the Branch Manager.

Branch Engagement

  • Establishes new and maintains existing member accounts by encouraging students to become members and/or informing members of new products and/or services.   
  • Identifies, recommends and sells appropriate RebelsCU products and services to create a fully engaged financial relationship in accordance with the business strategy.
  • Assists members with ATM usage, digital banking, or provide any additional/necessary member resources.
  • Assists with account opening, providing information on products/services and handling basis transactions.
  • Timely tracks and reports on outcomes on all products, services, referrals and other relevant metrics are deemed appropriate.

Administrative

  • Participates in membership drives and other events identified for branch presence.
  • May organize and coordinate various functions for the RebelsCU program.
  • Supports ways of communication between RebelsCU and the University.
  • Understands the overall concept of RebelsCU, including the brand, members, product goals and all other aspects of service.
  • Cross training through our divisions of responsibilities and provides ideas to grow and improve the business.
  • As appropriate to the position and as specified by unit management, accepts designated, business-focus projects to research, propose ideas and solutions, and presents project, program or product recommendations to management.
  • Engages with members and employees and provides service.
  • Provides suggestions to management for improving member service and internal processes.
  • Learns and becomes proficient in internal software systems.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Completes all regulatory compliances as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Part-time or full-time (preferred) student in good standing.

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Proficiency in creating promotions, events, activities, social media campaigns, or other sales tactics designed to create awareness and drive consumer interest.
