The investigator is responsible for conducting complex, field-based investigations into potentially fraudulent auto and casualty insurance claims. This includes performing site inspections, interviewing witnesses, analyzing medical and property damage records, and documenting findings to support claim decisions.
Candidates must have direct SIU experience with an insurance carrier or a strong background in law enforcement investigations. The role requires the ability to work independently in the field and reside within a one-hour commute of specific North Carolina locations.

We are seeking an experienced Field SIU Investigator to handle a variety of field-based investigative claims across multiple lines, including personal auto and casualty. The ideal candidate will have direct SIU experience working for an insurance carrier, along with a strong background in auto or casualty investigations, or a solid foundation in law enforcement field investigations. This role requires someone who is comfortable working independently in the field, conducting thorough and detailed investigations, and adapting to changing priorities. Strong attention to detail, investigative curiosity, and the ability to stay organized are essential for success. Candidates must reside within a one-hour commute of Charlotte, North Carolina, or be located in Albemarle, NC or Monroe, NC.
As a requirement of employment, individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment. Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team.
