The Corrections Linkage and Education Coordinator (CLEC) works with incarcerated individuals living with HIV and/or Hepatitis C to motivate and ensure their engagement in treatment and support services. The CLEC also facilitates peer education training and promotes prevention strategies within designated state correctional facilities.
The job requires working with individuals who are incarcerated or returning to the community, focusing on treatment adherence and education. Specific service targets and interventions will be outlined in annual workplans.
The CLEC works with individuals living with HIV and/or Hepatitis C who are incarcerated and/or preparing to return to the community. The CLEC works to motivate and ensure engagement and adherence in treatment, education, prevention, and support services. The CLEC also facilitates Peer Education training and support, targeted recruitment, condom promotion and education, and linkage to testing, treatment, and prevention with incarcerated individuals in designated state correctional facilities. Work with individuals who are living with HIV and/or Hepatitis C who are incarcerated and/or returning to the community in order to motivate and ensure engagement and adherence in HIV and/or Hepatitis C-related treatment, prevention and support services. Service targets will vary by correctional facility; assigned interventions will be outlined in annual workplans.
