The role
Role basics - Full-time position
- Work location: Klareboderne 1, Copenhagen
- Reporting to: Jørgen Frederik Hovmand, Senior Manager
Your primary tasks will include: - Valuing specific assets and developing financial models using best-practice modelling techniques.
- Conducting analysis of value-enhancing levers and key issues to optimise asset performance throughout their lifecycle.
- Preparing performance overviews, analyses, presentations, and asset valuations to support senior management decision-making and reporting.
- Supporting projects related to the later stages of the investment process, including add-on investments, divestments, asset restructuring, and refinancing.
- Travelling might occur to attend board meetings and on-site visits with AIP’s partners, alongside senior portfolio management team members (max. 10 days annually).
The team you’ll be part ofThe Asset Management team is responsible for managing and maximising value from AIP’s energy and infrastructure assets, with a strong emphasis on delivering best-in-class returns for our investors and maintaining a high standard of sustainability performance.
The team comprises 15 professionals from diverse educational, professional, and cultural backgrounds. As an Analyst, you’ll be part of a collaborative and ambitious team focused on asset valuation, value optimisation, and reporting. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain deep insights into renewable energy and infrastructure investments, while developing advanced skills in valuation, financial modelling, and commercial analysis.
Desired experience and competencies - Strong academic performance, ideally in the top quartile of your graduating class
- Student work experience in private equity, principal investments, infrastructure/energy, corporate finance, or a related field
- Proven skills in valuation, financial modelling, and corporate finance
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects and workstreams
- A proactive, positive mindset and a strong desire to grow within a dynamic and fast-paced organisation
