The Credit Officer performs credit analysis and underwriting to prepare loan recommendations for approval. They assess borrower eligibility, review financial statements, and participate in Loan Committee discussions.
A bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related agricultural field is required. Candidates must possess strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The Credit Officer works with experienced Credit Department staff to gain the knowledge and skills to underwrite credit. Completes credit analysis in conjunction with other staff and prepares recommendations for the approving loan officer or loan committee.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, agricultural economics, accounting, economics, finance, or related field required. Ideal candidates must be highly motivated with strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Other strong skills required are interpersonal relationship skills, analytical skills, and the ability to work individually and as a team player.
