Full job description

To be a team member at ADB Companies, or as we call it, part of the A-Team, you must be ALL IN to support the company’s mission, vision, and values.

OUR MISSION: We are a customer-centric partner providing innovative solutions. The safety, well-being, and career growth of our team members are the benchmarks of our success.

POSITION TITLE: Senior Director, Business Transformation & Standards
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

POSITION OVERVIEW:

ADB is a Nationwide full turnkey provider of technology infrastructure solutions including Wireline, Wireless, Technology, and Engineering. Our customer centric approach has ensured long term relationships with commercial clients, service providers, local, state, and federal government organizations. We recognize our team members as our greatest asset ensuring that their safety, well-being, and career growth are always our number one priority. Our ALL IN culture includes a focus on Safety, Wellness, Learning, Diversity and Inclusion, and giving back to our Communities.

ADB is seeking a Senior Director, Business Transformation and Standards to lead the function that serves as the demand and prioritization engine for ADB's transformation & technology organization. This leader is accountable for consistent execution of transformation strategy through multiple functional areas, including product management, business and data analysis, change management, and the project management office. The role builds executive and field stakeholder relationships that set priority, develops a bench of leaders who drive transformation through ownership and influence rather than direct authority over delivery teams, and is accountable for the aggregate performance, capability, and budget of the function. It partners closely with the IT Services and Field Platforms organizations to deliver transformational technology services and to ensure delivered capability is adopted across the enterprise and the field. The ideal candidate is a strategic, forward-thinking leader of leaders with proven success driving business results cross-functionally and at multiple levels, and an ALL IN attitude to achieve results.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Stewards the ADB Operating System as the function's operating framework, accountable for its continuous improvement, adoption, and measured business impact through the leadership bench.
  • Sets direction for the Business Transformation and Standards function and ensures consistent execution across product management, business and data analysis, change management, and the project management office.
  • Builds and develops the leadership bench, growing product owners, the change manager, and the enterprise project manager into leaders who drive outcomes through ownership and influence rather than direct authority over delivery teams.
  • Owns prioritization and governance of the transformation portfolio, translating business priority into sequenced, governed plans of capacity and resourcing, and serves as the voice of business demand in the program increment planning cadence.
  • Builds and sustains executive, operational, and field stakeholder relationships; acts as the escalation point for complex cross functional issues; and aligns systems and processes to shared departmental goals.
  • Is accountable for adoption of delivered capability across the enterprise and the field, achieved through the change management function rather than performed personally.
  • Owns performance trends across BTS areas, balancing efficiency, risk, and capability over the long term, and is accountable for the aggregate performance and budget of the department.
  • Provides business requirements leadership and technical partnership to the IT Services organization for enterprise system implementations, including the 2027 workforce technology program executed by the project management office.
  • Engages personally in the detailed work of the function when the situation genuinely requires it, with the maturity to do so only when needed rather than as a default.
  • Performs other position duties when requested

SUCCESS FACTORS:

  • A strong belief in ZERO — Being safe 100% of the time is the expectation
  • Alignment with company mission, vision, and values
  • A high level of customer centricity
  • Strong work ethic with an ALL-IN attitude
  • Strong team player with the ability to adapt to diverse team members
  • Ability to perform in a fast paced/high volume environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A high level of time management, accountability, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to be organized, problem solve, and be solution oriented
  • Process improvement skills with the ability to streamline efficiencies at an organizational level
  • Proven ability to lead other leaders and to drive results through influence across functions and tenured operating groups.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive adoption

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This role operates out of ADB's corporate headquarters located at: 18777 U.S. Highway 66, Pacific, MO 63069.  Candidates who are not located in the St. Louis, MO metro area may be considered, though they will be required to travel to headquarters monthly.
  • Regular travel to field operations sites is required
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops, copiers, and cell phones

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • 5+ years successfully leading a business unit or major function, including developing other leaders, required.
  • 5 to 7+ years of technical experience in business transformation, enterprise systems, or technology delivery, required.
  • Demonstrated success driving standardization and adoption within a high growth, highly complex environment, required.
  • Experience leading agile delivery and product ownership disciplines strongly preferred.
  • Lean or Six Sigma expertise preferred.
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional or Certification of Capability in Business Analysis preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Information Systems strongly preferred. MBA preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required.

The starting pay for this position is $150,000 and may vary based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
