Support the legal and governance function by assisting with corporate governance, transaction lifecycles, and tax analysis. Additionally, help implement and manage board reporting software and processes.
Candidates must be currently pursuing a J.D. degree, preferably as a rising 2L or 3L. Strong legal research and drafting skills are required, with a demonstrated interest in asset management and corporate law.
Position Summary
1823 Partners is seeking a Legal Intern to support its legal and governance function across a range of corporate, transactional, and tax matters. Working closely with the General Counsel and the broader legal and deal teams, the intern will gain hands-on exposure to the legal operations of a fast-growing, insurance-first asset management firm. The role spans corporate governance, transaction support, tax analysis, and the implementation of board reporting infrastructure, offering a unique opportunity to develop practical legal skills while contributing directly to the firm's build-out.
