Dr. Anna Hocker

I joined Crafthunt in October 2023 as a Co-Founder and Managing Director focusing on the human touch between our customers and candidates. My team and I ensure seamless candidate applications, qualified profiles, and successful hiring for our customers. I started my career at McKinsey & Company, in Digital Media and eCommerce. After a PhD secondment at Hubert Burda Media launching an ad tech venture, building digital attackers for McKinsey clients and my time at Rocket Internet in Bangkok, I knew I'd thrive as an entrepreneur creating something that is larger than myself. Since I've always been fascinated by people and developing careers, I continued my journey building up the Digital practice at Spencer Stuart, deepening my knowledge of recruiting as the youngest Consultant in Germany. In May 2023, I was elected non-executive member of the Board of Directors at Phoenix Mecano AG based in Switzerland and listed on SIX Swiss exchange (CHF 800M revenue 2022). My responsibilities focus on digitization and agility. I hold a PhD on Entrepreneurial Behaviour from the Technology, Innovation & Entrepreneurship Institute at Technical University Dortmund, a MSc. from Technical University Munich in Management and Computer Science as well as a BSc. from WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management. I'm currently also pursuing a systemic coaching training from the Institute for Applied Psychology.
