Aaron Scales

I have over 15 years of experience building software platforms and leading teams from the perspective of both engineering and product management.

My experience with technical products began with 0-1 work on large-scale fault-tolerant distributed systems with consumer-facing applications in FinServ (e.g. I created Symphony while at Goldman Sachs and was Lead Platform Engineer owning all APIs and SDKs). After that, I built out LinkedIn’s Ads APIs driving billions in attributed revenue as both an Engineering Manager and then as a Senior Product Manager. From 2022-2024, I worked in Web3 growing Chainlink’s ecosystem of integrated blockchains and products as Product Lead for Integrations, Tooling, and Developer Experience. And I’m currently working as Head of Product for Sahara AI, building decentralized AI.

I’ve been told I’m highly emotionally intelligent, and my superpower is communication. I can help figure out solutions to hard problems, and I can also rally teams to solve them with curiosity, passion, and excitement.

I live in San Francisco with my partner and our dog, and some of my hobbies are music, photography, wine, cooking, and fitness.

And I really do love learning - I want to know how everything works. And I love helping others and teaching just as much. Seeing others succeed makes me happy. I also believe in operating with integrity, fighting for diversity of thought and experiences, being passionate, and balancing that passion with objective reasoning.
