The role is Founding Head of Sales for an insurance business, based in London, in-office six days a week, reporting to the CEO/Founders, with a base salary of £70,000–£100,000 plus performance bonus and meaningful equity. The role will design and execute the GTM strategy for the UK and EU, including ICP definition, segmentation, messaging, and channel mix, and will own the full sales process end-to-end from lead generation to close. It will lead and develop a team of BDRs, setting targets, coaching on outreach and qualification, building the cadence and culture of the sales floor, and personally carrying a quota in the early months to develop a repeatable playbook. It will hire and grow the wider sales team as the business scales, own the sales stack and reporting (CRM hygiene, pipeline forecasting, conversion metrics, win/loss analysis), and partner closely with founders, marketing, and product to align GTM with the roadmap and feed customer insight back into the business. It will build relationships with brokers, partners, and enterprise accounts across target markets, offering a front-row seat at a fast-moving insurance business with meaningful equity and potential to grow into a VP/CRO role as the company scales.
