Provide ASL interpreting services for patients in clinical and hospital settings, as well as for video visits. Ensure effective communication across diverse patient populations, including those requiring mental health and DeafBlind interpreting.
Requires a high school diploma and at least 4 years of interpreting experience, with 3 years specifically in medical settings. Must hold an active certification from RID (NIC, CI, CT, CSC, IC, TC) or NAD (Level IV/V).
HS Diploma or GED
4 years interpreting experience with at least 3 years medical interpreting experience.
Active certification through the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID): NIC, CI, CT, CSC, IC, TC or National Association of the Deaf (NAD): Level IV/V (full complement of CEUs must be submitted to RID by October 1 during the last year of the 4-year cycle).
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of Nationally Accredited Interpreter Training Program. Some general college preferred.
