Lead all environmental and waste management activities for the Oak Ridge TMC, serving as the site’s primary expert on regulatory compliance and environmental stewardship. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, physical sciences, or equivalent technical experience, along with 8+ years in environmental and/or waste programs, including 4+ years in the nuclear industry. Professional certifications and experience managing radiological and hazardous waste are also preferred.

In this high‑visibility role, you’ll be the guiding force behind critical environmental programs that safeguard our people, our community, and our future.
This is an opportunity to step into a dynamic environment where your expertise shapes strategy, influences decision‑making, and supports cutting‑edge nuclear and manufacturing operations.
In this role, you will lead all environmental and waste management activities for the Oak Ridge TMC, serving as the site’s primary expert on regulatory compliance and environmental stewardship. You’ll work directly with agencies such as TDEC, EPA, DOT, and occasionally DOE, ensuring our operations meet federal and state environmental requirements. You will guide permitting efforts, oversee hazardous and radiological waste programs, and provide clear regulatory direction to engineering and operations teams.
You’ll also help shape strategy by contributing to budgets, staffing plans, and project proposals, while maintaining strong relationships with regulators and internal stakeholders. With authority to enhance or develop new programs and procedures, you’ll play a key role in protecting our workforce, environment, and community while supporting the mission of the Oak Ridge Technology & Manufacturing Center.
You will own programmatic oversight of environmental compliance, permitting, monitoring, and waste management. Your leadership ensures we meet—and exceed—regulatory expectations, protect our workforce, and maintain excellence across mission‑critical operations. You will:

In addition, once employed, employees will become part of a random drug testing program and may also be tested in the event of any incident causing injury or causing damage to property, or if it is determined that there is a reasonable suspicion the employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol. This position will require preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government. Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.
