Oversee day-to-day security operations for assigned shifts to maintain a safe workplace and manage staff performance. Responsibilities include patrolling assigned areas, monitoring CCTV, and handling crowd control and emergency situations.
Candidates must have a demonstrated background in security operations management and staff supervision. A valid Tennessee Certification and a driver's license are required, along with the ability to pass a background check and drug test.
This is a full-time position located in the Security Department at Graceland and The Guest House at Graceland working variable and flexible days with working hours to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Must be flexible to work all shifts as needed but primarily available for the 4:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. shift. Benefits will be offered after successful completion of a sixty (60) day introductory period. This is an internal/external recruitment.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the supervision of the Director of Security and Security Manager, oversee day to day operations of assigned shift(s) to maintain a safe and secure work place; train and motivate staff; document all incidents including employee work performance; record absentees and lates as necessary; assist in providing training for new employees; administer and assist with first aid; write reports of various types; patrol and observe assigned area(s); maintain crowd control as required; observe CCTC monitors and report information; assist with other duties.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Must have demonstrated background in assigning work tasks of employees and overseeing daily operations of Security Department; ability to provide weekly staffing schedules in order that all shifts are properly covered; ability to train and motivate staff; knowledge to handle security cultural, economic and educational backgrounds; ability to listen and observe in order to meet the varying needs of guest, employees and property; ability to handle complaints and refer to the appropriate person when necessary; ability to react in emergency situations; CPR helpful; previous experience using computers and computer software is necessary, experience with Microsoft Office programs including Excel and Word is preferred; ability to use portable radio.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time; ability to stoop, reach and lift boxes weighing up to fifty (50) lbs.; ability to climb stairs; ability to speak clearly and distinctly.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Uniform is required; current Tennessee Certification and a valid driver’s license are required.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Work variable/flexible hours and days to include weekend, holidays, and overtime as required; must be able to work outside in all types of weather.

Lisa Marie Presley retains a 15% ownership in the company and continues to be involved in major business decisions, as does her mother Priscilla. Lisa Marie Presley retains 100% sole personal ownership of Graceland Mansion itself and its over 13-acre original grounds and her father's personal effects - meaning costumes, wardrobe, awards, furniture, cars, etc.. She has made the mansion property and her father's personal effects permanently available for tours of Graceland and for use in all of EPE's operations. Jack Soden is the President and CEO of EPE and is based in the Memphis office.
