The ophthalmic technician assists ophthalmologists and optometrists by performing clinical tests, recording patient history, and maintaining accurate electronic medical records. They also support in-office procedures, manage clinical inventory, and provide patient education while ensuring compliance with medical regulations.
Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with preference given to those with prior ophthalmic or optometric technician experience. Proficiency with Nextech/ICP software and strong interpersonal communication skills are highly desired for this fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsible for assisting the ophthalmologist and optometrists by gathering data pertaining to the patient’s ocular health status. The ophthalmic technician is proficient in performing appropriate clinical tests, drawing on formal education and/or clinical experience that provide a solid understanding of the theory and principles of eye care.
