The Express Lube Tech performs light maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid inspections while maintaining accurate repair records. They are also responsible for keeping the shop area clean, managing dealership tools, and communicating effectively with service advisors and customers.
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree or one to two years of related experience and training. The role requires the ability to interpret technical manuals, perform mathematical calculations, and pass a background check and drug screen.

Job Title: Service Technician - Express Lube Tech
Department: Service Department
Reports To: Service Manager
Requires the ability to perform light maintenance and repairs which include lube, oil, and filter changes, balancing and rotation of tires, and flushing cooling systems and is an entry-level position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Must pass background check and drug screen.
Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
