Based at the remote Columbia Icefield in Jasper National Park, this on‑site living role places you 100 km from Jasper and surrounded by stunning glacier views and endless mountain adventure. You’ll be part of a destination that includes the Glacier View Lodge, dining outlets, retail, and the world‑famous Glacier Adventure and Skywalk. Staff live on‑site with accommodations and three hot meals per day.
Full-time, seasonal position beginning June 2026
Starting wage for this role is $20.00/hour
End‑of‑season retention bonus up to $1.00/hour
$20/day housing and meals
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform established cleaning duties on a daily basis for all guest and team member areas including staff accommodation common areas
Keep emergency exits and hallways clear of debris
Ensure cleaning checklists and maintenance logs are maintained and up to date
Maintain garbage collection areas and help facilitate an effective recycling program
Perform minor painting and plumbing duties
Ensure supply stock is adequate and well organized
Cardboard bailing and organization of building recycling
Assist other departments with retrieving supplies, daily set up, and closing duties
Assist with preventative maintenance according to standard operating procedures
Assist with evacuation procedures in the event of an emergency
Notify Facilities Supervisor on duty of any safety hazards or concerns
Answer guest questions regarding the Glacier Adventure and Glacier Skywalk
Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Strong organizational and time management skills, with a genuine passion for creating exceptional guest and employee experiences
Enthusiasm for living and working in a remote, yet social, environment
Mature, energetic, dependable, and self-motivated; able to work independently with minimal supervision
Takes initiative, follows through on tasks, and maintains a high level of energy
High attention to detail with strong organizational skills and flexibility across tasks
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
Comfortable using common hand tools (e.g., hammers, drills, wrenches, screwdrivers)
Experience in custodial/light maintenance and/or tourism or hospitality is an asset
Strong team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
Standard First Aid (or higher) is an asset
