ABOUT THE ROLE

As the first Senior Software Engineer in Vietnam, you will be a founding member of our local team. You will own significant product features end-to-end, moving from problem definition to production-ready solutions that impact customers across APAC.

This is a product engineering role where you are expected to bring a point of view on what to build and why. We are looking for a pioneer keen to shape our engineering culture from the ground up.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Product Engineering

  • Lead features from scoping and technical design to launch and iteration, owning the end-to-end outcome.

  • Make product judgment calls, proposing simpler paths to customer outcomes and prioritizing high-impact builds.

  • Ship at a fast pace, favoring rapid iteration and real-world customer feedback over perfection.

• Build across the stack

  • Develop across the full stack: data layer, backend, and frontend, using the best tools for the problem.

  • Ensure high quality through testing, observability, performance tuning, and operational follow-through.

• Team Foundations

  • Establish engineering standards for Vietnam, including code reviews, documentation, and cross-office collaboration.

  • Create scalable technical knowledge, such as design docs and runbooks, to accelerate team onboarding.

  • Represent the local team in global product discussions, ensuring alignment with the wider roadmap.

  • Partner on hiring and mentoring future engineers, with the potential to grow into a managerial role.

ABOUT YOU

• Full-stack expert comfortable with Python (Flask/Django), ReactJS, TypeScript, and SQL/NoSQL databases.

• You are a technically-minded problem solver who gets genuine satisfaction from helping customers succeed.

• You have led projects end to end before. You can point to something you scoped, built, shipped, and then improved based on what happened after launch.

• You communicate clearly and confidently in English, in writing and on calls across both technical and non-technical topics

YOUR PREFERRED BACKGROUND

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a degree in CS, IT, or equivalent practical background.

• Bilingual fluency in English and Vietnamese

• Based in or willing to relocate to Ho Chi Minh City.
