The role involves collecting and examining DNA evidence, generating STR and Y-STR profiles, and interpreting data using probabilistic genotyping software. Responsibilities also include maintaining the chain of custody, documenting results in case files, and performing technical reviews of reports.
Requires a bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a forensic field and five years of experience in a forensic laboratory performing DNA analysis. Candidates must be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance and a US passport.
