The intern will support laboratory teams in BioSafety Testing by performing various biological analysis techniques. Responsibilities include conducting tests for endotoxins, sterility, cell culture, and molecular biology to ensure the safety and quality of biological medicines.
Candidates must be pursuing an MBO education focused on (micro)biological techniques and be motivated to gain experience in a lab. Proficiency in Dutch is required for team communication, and a good command of English is necessary for documentation.

Gevestigd in het Leiden Bio Science Park, bieden wij een uitgebreid scala aan microbiologische, virale, chemische en fysische kwaliteitscontroletesten voor farmaceutische grondstoffen, halffabrikaten en eindproducten. Naast onze standaard testpakketten ontwikkelen en valideren wij productspecifieke methoden in nauwe samenwerking met onze klanten, en bieden wij ook kleinschalige productiediensten aan.
Ons professionele team bestaat uit een mix van jonge en ervaren mensen met diverse achtergronden en ervaringen. Samen versterken we de wereldwijde gezondheidszorg en dragen we bij aan de verbetering van de kwaliteit en veiligheid van farmaceutische producten wereldwijd.
De stagevacature is voor de Business Unit BioSafety Testing.
Binnen de Business Unit BioSafety Testing biedt ons bedrijf unieke testen aan waarmee we de veiligheid, effectiviteit en kwaliteit van een biologisch geneesmiddel kunnen onderzoeken, waaronder cel- en gentherapieën, vaccines en monoklonale antilichamen. We kunnen bijvoorbeeld aantonen of een geneesmiddel vrij is van microbiële, virale of productieproces gerelateerde contaminaties. Naast het uitvoeren van standaard testen zetten we ook product specifieke testen op in nauwe samenwerking met de klant.
Verschillende stageplekken
Voor onze lab teams bij BioSafety Testing zijn wij zijn op zoek naar een gemotiveerde stagiaires die ons team komen versterken en tegelijkertijd kennis en ervaring komen opdoen in ons bedrijf.
Als Stagiair Biologisch Analist ga je zoveel mogelijk meewerken met jouw team en word je getraind in de technieken waar we op dat moment veel werk voor hebben, zodat je zelfstandig aan de slag kunt. Ons team van analisten is er uiteraard om jou op weg te helpen en te begeleiden. Na het doorlopen van specifieke trainingen is het is belangrijk dat je in staat bent om, zowel zelfstandig als in teamverband, netjes en nauwkeurig te werken binnen een laboratorium.
Wij hebben stageplekken verdeeld over verschillende laboratoria met eigen specifieke testen.
Team Microbiology & Mycoplasma:
Testen: Endotoxine, Steriliteitstesten, Bioburden, Environmental Monitoring, Groei promotie testen, Bacteriofaag, agar, broth, indicator cellen en qPCR.
Team Molecular Biology
Testen: PCR, fPERT, FACS, ELISA, SDS-PAGE, Western Blotting, pH, Osmolaliteit, Extractable volume, OD260/280
Team Cell Biology:
Testen: Cell Culture, In vitro Adventitious virus assay, TCID50 assay (virus titration), Cell-Based Potency assay, Plaque assay
